About the event
The main piece in this concert will be the Brahms Clarinet Quintet, a wonderful piece which he wrote at the end of his life for Richard Mühlfeld after being inspired by his beautiful sound.
Violist Dorothea Vogel will be joined by Katherine Spencer, principal Clarinet of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment; Tom Aldren, first violinist of the Gildas Quartet, Jenny Sacha, first violinist of the Pavão Quartet; and finally long time Orange Tree audience favourite Kirsten Jenson on cello. There will be an outing of the wonderful Spohr Duo for violin and viola and Haydn’s bird quartet op. 33/3 to open the concert.
