About the event
On the 22nd of February, Dorothea Vogel will be joined by Joana Ly and Jenny Sacha on violin and Kirsten Jenson on cello. They will perform a Purcell Fantasia followed by Haydn op. 54/2. This is one of his most eccentric and sublime works, where he explores gipsy music and, for that time, completely unexpected harmonies. After the break there will be Mendelssohn’s quartet op. 12, written when he was only 20 years old, and Gershwin’s Lullaby.
